dark skinned woman in blue top smiling joyously with white teeth

Note that after the teeth whitening process, the pores of your teeth will be slightly opened risking those pearly white teeth to splotching. Normally this last 72 hours before you can consume again your daily regular meals.

Good news though, THE SMILE BAR DUBAI offers a solid solution to the 72 hours waiting

period. And what is better is you don’t need to wait, all you need to do is avail After Care. By applying it after the whitening process you will be able to eat and drink what you usually have without the problem of staining your new set of stunningly white teeth.

Don’t worry, if you wish not to avail After Care your newly whitened teeth can still
be perfect as long as you follow our guidelines below.

What's Allowed

Drinks

These are the drinks we recommend that don’t affect your newly whitened teeth: clear colored soft drinks, still and sparkling water, soda water, tonic water and skim milk. The best drink is obviously water, whether it’s still or sparkling you can never go wrong with water. Drink lots of it and not only will you have a healthy body but also a healthy beautiful smile.

Alcoholic drinks- We don’t recommend wine but if it’s unavoidable, we recommend you to drink white wine instead of red as it will not affect your new teeth as much as red do.

If you are in the mood for a celebration, choose wisely what alcohol to drink. White spirits like vodka, gin, and white rum, white wine (to some extent) are the only alcohols that will not affect your whitened teeth.

Food

White Meat – chicken, turkey and white fish(cod, haddock, halibut and plaice) can be
eaten without the thought of teeth stain. We recommend you cook them by steam,
poach, boil, or grill and without any coloring condiments. White sauces are also
recommended except with cheese base.

White fruits and vegetables- banana, apple, pineapple, white beans, cauliflower,
parsnip, garlic, ginger, onion, turnip, and skinned potatoes

Bread and Cereals- all the white carbohydrates is suggested, this is pita bread, white
rice, white bread, white beans and white oats

Chewing gum- as long as it is white in color

Cheese – Rich in protein, calcium and phosphorus, all these control the acids in your mouth.

Raw Vegetables-Foods high in fiber and slightly coarse act as scrubbing agents for the teeth. Vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower work like natural scrubs that can help do the same to teeth. The high iron content in the dark greens also helps form a thin coat to the teeth from enamel-eroding acids. Celery also increases saliva production and help polish teeth.

Mushrooms – Lentinan, a tooth-friendly compound may be found in shiitake mushrooms. These inhibit the growth of damaging bacteria that cause tooth decay and discoloration.

Onions-although it causes bad breath, eat them raw as they contain antibacterial sulfur compounds that prevent plaque from forming. And since they cause bad breath, you are more likely to brush your teeth after consumption.

Ginger – acts as an anti-inflammatory to support healthy mouth tissue.

Carrots – contain vitamin A that protects the tooth enamel. Just remember to avoid after a teeth whitening treatment.

Basil – reduces bacteria in the mouth.

Fruits- bananas are a safe option as they’re obviously white, so apples and pears once peeled are recommended too.,These keep teeth debris and gum bacteria at bay. Their crisp texture and high water content increase saliva, washing away harmful bacteria that creates plaque and leads to discoloration over time.

Pineapples- this fruit is an effective teeth whitener. It also contains an enzyme called bromelain that assists in removing stains.

Strawberries- just like apples, this fruit contains malic acid. Malic acid is a natural astringent that helps break down and remove surface stains.

Nuts- almonds, cashews, walnuts, and sesame seeds stimulate saliva, which can help wash away bacteria. Moreover, nuts’ abrasive texture work in removing existing surface stains.
