Finally smiling

Girl smiling with white teeth in a street

Anna has long been looking for a treatment for her fluorosis, a cosmetic dental condition that’s often caused by excessive fluoride exposure in the years that a person forms most of his or her permanent teeth. This causes obvious specks or streaks across the surface of one’s teeth that are lighter than the natural shade, making the unaffected parts appear stained.

“I must have tried every whitening toothpaste and home treatment kit there is,” she laments.  “Nothing ever actually worked.”

For most of her life, Anna either avoided smiling for photos or simply smiled without showing her teeth. But her fluorosis hasn’t just kept Anna from smiling as often as she’d like to; her condition made her a target of a bully when she was in high school, giving her already-fragile adolescent self-esteem yet another blow.

This led to constant anxiety when she hit her adulthood. Whenever she meets people for the first time, she always worries that they’ll notice her teeth right away and think that she doesn’t brush regularly or that she has bad breath or that she doesn’t go to the dentist. Her condition made her generally wary of people, which often prevented her from making friends.

“I must have tried every whitening toothpaste and home treatment kit there is,” she laments.  “Nothing ever actually worked.”

The Smile Bar turned up in one of her habitual Google searches for teeth whitening solutions. “I’ve been constantly on the lookout for anything new that might work,” she says. “I know there’s really no cure, but I just really want to make the fuorosis less obvious.” Her fluorosis has plagued her for a long time, and the resulting desperation made her book the Triple Whitening session immediately.

After so many years and so many treatments, Anna was amazed that her teeth got six shades lighter in just a single visit to The Smile Bar. Although the fluorosis was still visible either to a dentist or a trained eye, the effective removal of the organic stains on the enamel made it less obvious — and so finally, she can smile with genuine happiness and true confidence.
